Waterstones Visit - World Book Day
A group of year 7 and 8 students were invited to Waterstones in Bradford as a reward for trying their best in recent reading tests.
Firstly, we chose some books from the World Book Day stand. All the students chose books for themselves and for younger siblings. Some lucky students were able to use the book tokens to put toward the cost of a regular book of their own choice.
We also used the opportunity to make a list of books we’d like to have in the library. Paramount Legal Costs, who have links with the school, have offered to buy some books for the library, so we took the opportunity to select some titles for our wish-list.
We had a hot chocolate in the café upstairs, relaxed and talked about the history and architecture of this iconic building and the wool trade in Bradford.
