This spring we decided to launch an extracurricular Gardening Club for KS3 students to provide them with an opportunity to learn about growing plants and the environment. The response was very enthusiastic. We have been using the greenhouse from the Science Department as our base.

So far, we have been looking at growing edibles for us and flowers for the pollinators. The students had great fun sowing some tomato seeds and planting onions. We have also sown some seeds for bee-friendly flowers, including sunflowers. 

As the nights warm up, we hope to see a lot of germination!
