We’re continuning our remote learning timetable
Unfortunately, we continue to experience high numbers of teacher and support staff Covid related absence. Numbers of student absence due to Covid are also at their highest level we have recorded since the pandemic began. We therefore need to extend for a further week, the remote learning timetable.
When studying at home, you need to log onto your Chromebook for an 8.30am assembly. During this time your Achievement Leader will give them your schedule of lessons for the day. We expect you to receive most lessons live with some work set on Google Classroom too. All work will be completed on your Chromebook.
I appreciate that this will mean further changes to your schedules and I wish to say thank you again for your continued support at this difficult time. Whilst learning remotely, you will be taught by Grange staff who know you and can talk to you live in lessons or through email at other times.
The schedule for next week is as follows:
Monday 17th January – Year 7 at home
Tuesday 18th January – Year 10 at home
Wednesday 19th January – Year 9 at home
Thursday 20th January – Year 8 at home
Friday 21st January – Year 7 at home
Lateral flow testing is an important part of our strategy to keep the school open. We ask that all staff and students test at least twice a week. We have enough tests for everybody to do this. We also ask that parents lateral flow before they enter the building for any reason. Students will find supplies in every classroom which they are free to take for their own use.
Please contact the Achievement Leader for your year group if you have any specific issues around remote learning so that they can resolve any problems for you. Your Achievement Leaders are:
Year 7 – Miss Gibb
Year 8 – Miss Shoer
Year 9 – Miss Hellewell
Year 10 – Miss Thompson
Year 11 – Mr Smithen
