International Activities
We have recently started some collaborative curriculum -based work with a partner school, Collège Madame de Sévigné, based in Roubaix, in the North of France, as part of the Lille-Leeds Partnerships 2023-24.
For our first exchange of work, our students wrote some letters in French to their counterparts. The aim of the activity was to get to know each other as well as exploring the similarities and differences between our two schools in the respective language our students are learning. We were also aiming at providing an authentic context and through sharing work with a real audience giving the opportunity to our students to communicate in French and forging new relationships.
Roma Festival
To celebrate International Roma day, we held our very own Roma Festival. It was amazing to see so many of our families in school to support our students who performed a range of traditional dances, songs and music. A huge thank you to David and Rene who worked incredibly hard to make this happen! We look forward to continuing to celebrate the different cultures within our school community!
