Our Pride Month!

Our Pride Month!

Pride is a time for celebration, but also to protest the inequalities many people still face.

We’ve worked hard this month to show that Grange is a safe and supportive place for our LGBTQ+ community. We’ve held a range of events to share information and let our colleagues and students show their pride and support!

If you’re a student at Grange and have any questions or need support, ask a teacher or other adult at Grange and we’ll make sure you get the support you need.

Around our academy, we’ve created displays including this fab display from Mrs Blashill in the library.

A display of books, pride posters and pride flags.

Alongside celebrating Pride, we wanted to make a difference. We decided to raise money for Stonewall.

At Stonewall, we stand for lesbian, gay, bi, trans, queer, questioning and ace (LGBTQ+) people everywhere. We imagine a world where all LGBTQ+ people are free to be ourselves and can live our lives to the full.

What better way to raise awareness (and cash for this fab charity) than a raffle for cake!

person holding a cake. Cake has a rainbow and multiple colours

Karen won the raffle and this amazing looking rainbow cake!

Person wearing bright colours, rainbow sash and rainbow lanyard

We also sold fabulous looking rainbow lanyards!

All while wearing all the colours of Pride!

Thanks to Karen and our other colleagues, we raised…

£145 for Stonewall!

Across the Trust, we had an event where colleagues and students could submit their Show your Pride Art. Our students created t-shirts and other designs that really captured the spirit of Pride

We can’t wait for next year! From everyone at Grange, we hope you had a wonderful Pride Month!
